PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller capable of detecting erroneous wiring during normal motor operation.SOLUTION: The invention provides an erroneous wiring detection method for a motor controller that is connected to a motor through a motor power line and controls a position and speed of the motor by feeding back a rotational position of the motor and a value of motor current flowing in a winding of the motor detects. In an operation mode in which control for reflecting a feedback value in a motor command value is performed, erroneous wiring and disconnection between the motor power line of the motor controller and the winding of the motor are detected from a magnitude of the motor current or a phase of the current in response to a current command or a rotational position or rotational speed in response to a speed command.
