Yunten's Web Application Methodology & Web Programming Language (YWAM & WPL)

This invention introduces a structured software engineering methodology for developing interactive network application systems that use a web browser as a user-dialogue engine. The methodology uses two server types: an Application Server for instantiating and executing an application instance in binary code, and an HTTP Server for delivering to the user's browser the textual HTML+Javascript user-dialogue documents used by this application instance during its execution. An application is accessed by executing at the user's browser an Application Instantiation Page (AIP) which is a part of this invention. The methodology is built into a notational programming language.

1. A method for providing interactive web applications, the method comprising:
executing, by a browser at a client machine, an Application Instantiation Page (AIP), wherein the AIP comprises a browser document; sending, by the AIP, a request for a websocket connection to an application server hosting an application program; instantiating, by the application server, an instance of the application program that inherits the websocket connection with the AIP; opening, by the AIP and the instance of the application program, a user interface at the client machine and said user-interface's websocket connection to the instance of the application program for interaction between a user and the instance of the application program; receiving, by the instance of the application program, a user input from the user interface via the respective websocket connection; and executing the instance of the application program based on the user input.
