This molded surface fastener (10, 70, 80) has engagement regions (21) in which engaging elements (12) are disposed in an erect manner and space regions (22) with no engaging elements (12), said engagement regions and said space regions alternating in the longitudinal direction. Each space region (22) has a pair of left and right vertical wall portions (13b, 83b) that are disposed on a substrate portion (11) in an erect manner and a protruding ridge portion (16) that protrudes from the center of the substrate portion (11) in the width direction, and the protruding ridge portion (16) is integrally connected to a main horizontal wall portion (14) disposed in the width direction of the engagement region (21). By implementing a simple cutting process, this molded surface fastener (10, 70, 80) can be easily adapted to usages in which the fastener has to be in a curved shape bending in the width direction. |
