PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedestrian protection device for a vehicle which can advantageously enhance the aerodynamic performance of a vehicle lower part while sufficiently securing the protection performance of a pedestrian.SOLUTION: A reinforcing part 18 is constituted in which a plurality of cylindrical structures 34 extending to a vehicle fore-and-aft direction are aligned in a vehicle width direction by integrally connecting upper end parts of a plurality of vertical ribs 24 which oppose each other in the vehicle width direction, and extend to the vehicle fore-and-aft direction by using an upper-side connecting plate part 22, and by integrally connecting lower end parts of a plurality of the vertical ribs 24 by using a lower-side connecting plate part 20. Both of at least one of a plurality of upper-side connecting plate part regions 22a located between the upper end parts of the mutually-opposing vertical ribs 24, and at least one of a plurality of lower-side connecting plate part regions 20a located between the lower end parts of the mutually-opposing vertical ribs 24, or either of them is formed into a bent plate part which exhibits a lateral-U shape at a cross section.
