PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to suppress a deterioration in image quality by increasing both a first transfer ratio and a second transfer ratio.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: an intermediate transfer belt 21 to which a toner image, formed on a photoreceptor drum 2 at a primary transfer nip formed between a primary transfer nip forming member and the photoreceptor drum 2, is transferred; a power source 602 for a secondary transfer bias that outputs a transfer bias for transferring the toner image on the intermediate transfer belt 21 to a transfer sheet at a secondary transfer nip formed between a secondary transfer nip forming member and the intermediate transfer belt 21; and a drive control part 603 that controls drive of a driving motor 502 driving the photoreceptor drum 2 and drive of a driving motor 501 driving the intermediate transfer belt 21. When the power source 602 for a secondary transfer bias outputs a vibration bias having an alternately switching polarities as the secondary transfer bias, the drive control part 603 controls the drive of both the driving motor 501 and the driving motor 502 so as to make the linear velocity of the photoreceptor drum 2 and the linear velocity of the intermediate transfer belt 21 different from each other. |
