An information acquisition method and device. The method is applied to a host side, and comprises: capturing a television video and/or image; and according to an instruction to select a commodity in the television video and/or image from a user, acquiring commodity information about the commodity, wherein the commodity information is used for providing an ordering operation for the user. By means of the present invention, without watching tedious advertisements or shopping programs, a television viewer/consumer/system user can immediately freeze a television picture through a gesture or a remote control when discovering a commodity which is interesting thereto during the process of watching programs, such as a common television drama, a film, a variety program, etc., and select the commodity through a television or a terminal, such as a computer, a cell phone APP, and purchase same. The present invention solves the problem in the related art that a television shopping method has a poor effect, thereby improving the shopping enjoyment of a user, reducing the television production costs of television shopping and merchant costs, and improving the development of television shopping. |
