The invention relates to a transmission for the powertrain (1) of a rail vehicle. The transmission (3) has an input shaft (4), an intermediate shaft (5), and an output shaft (6). The input shaft (4) is drivingly connected to a drive motor (2), and the output shaft (6) forms a wheel set shaft of the rail vehicle. The transmission (3) has at least two selectively shiftable transmission stages with different transmission ratios for the same travel direction and a shifting device (7) for shifting the transmission stages. The invention further relates to a powertrain for a rail vehicle, comprising such a transmission. |
