The present invention relates to a polarizing plate protection film which has excellent hardness, brittleness, and interlayer adhesion while having low discoloration and moisture permeability, a polarizing plate having the same, an image display device, and a method for manufacturing the polarizing plate protection film thereof. The polarizing plate protective film has a cellulose ester support and a low moisture-permeable hard-coat layer. The low moisture-permeable hard-coat layer is made of the low moisture-permeable hard-coat composition including (A) and (B). The content of (A) is 70 mass% with respect to the entire solid of the low moisture-permeable hard-coat composition. (A) is a multi-functional epoxy monomer which has two or more epoxy rings and one or more ring type skeletons other than the epoxy rings in one molecule while having a molecular weight of 270 or less. (B) is an optical cationic polymerization initiator. |
