The device (1) has a stacking area (31) that is provided with a support region (14). A roller arrangement is produced from several rollers (9) for supporting a stack (30) from below in the support region. A separating and holding unit (4) is used for separating the objects from the underside of the stack in the support region. An onward conveying device (6) is used for conveying the separated objects. A supporting and stopping device (32) is provided with a supporting and stopping unit (33) positioned in the support region in a holding position between stack and rollers. An independent claim is included for a method for separating individual flat, bendable objects from underside of stack.
