<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce standby time for RIP when re-RIP is required, and to prevent unnecessary RIP. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming device includes an image forming part that forms an image on the basis of image data of a job, a storage part for storing data on the job, and a control part for managing the job and controlling image formation. The control part determines re-rasterization start time on the basis of a status of a job in process of printing and a job in a printing queue when image data generated by rasterization needs re-rasterization. For example, when the time required for printing the job in process of printing and the reserved job is equal to or less than the time required for the re-rasterization, the control part determines to start re-rasterization before a print instruction of the job to be re-rasterized, and when the time required for printing the job in process of printing and the reserved job is longer than the time required for re-rasterization, the control part determines to start the re-rasterization after the printing instruction of the job to be re-rasterized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
