<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring system for a computer network which can easily and certainly identify a device where a failure occurs and a device which is subject to the influence of the failure, and a monitoring method for the computer network. <P>SOLUTION: For each of network devices such as a server and a network switch which are included in a computer network, a display device which displays the state of the network device at a connection destination for every input-output port is provided.
