PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnesium alloy material formable by forging, by imparting excellent corrosion resistance to the magnesium alloy material. SOLUTION: This magnesium alloy material is composed of an alloy composition consisting of 4.0-10.5wt.% Al, <0.004wt.% Fe, <=0.002wt.% Ni and <0.015wt.% Cu, and a crystal structure having <=200μm particle diameter. An undercoating treatment is performed on this alloy material and a powder coating material is applied to the material to obtain powder coating.
