[Also in Division B7] Vehicle seats are provided with back cushions 8, 9 which are normally interlocked but may be pivoted upwardly about frames 7 and supported by stays 12 to form upper curtained off couchettes and seat cushions 4 may be pivoted back about leather hinges 6 to form lower couchettes supported by braces 14 and bolsters 15. Pockets 16, 17 attached to or part of the cushions receive passengers' feet. In Fig. 3 (not shown) the seat cushions 20 normally overlie the cushions 3 and may be rotated 180 degrees to span the gap between seats. The upper couchette, formed as before, is supported by tubes 26, and curtains 27 are provided. |
