The present invention relates to a liquid storage tank comprising: a main barrier being in contact with stored goods to absorb impact; one or more separation members installed in a rear surface of the main barrier; a support plate installed in one side of the separation members; and an insulation foam formed on the support plate. An area of one side of the separation members is larger than an area of the other side being in contact with the main barrier. The present invention relates to a method to manufacture a liquid storage tank insulated by the insulation foam installed on the outer surface of a liquid storage tank body comprising: a step of installing the separation members in the rear surface of the liquid storage tank body; a step of installing the support plate in one side of the separation members; and a step of laminating the insulation foam on the outer surface of the support plate. According to the present invention, the liquid storage tank and the manufacturing method thereof maximize an insulation effect of the liquid storage tank through the insulation foam and allow the liquid storage tank to be conveniently and easily manufactured to improve manufacturing efficiency by utilizing the insulation foam as an insulation material to insulate the liquid storage tank and having the separation members and a thin film for the installation of the insulation foam.
