The present invention relates to an air freshener and a production method thereof. More specifically, the air freshener comprises: an absorptive sponge member (100) molded in a specific shape and size; a coating film (110) applied on a surface of the absorptive sponge member (100); and a contractile film (200) wrapping the absorptive sponge member (100) on which the coating film (110) is applied, so as to contract or to be closely attached by means of hot air or steam and further comprising an opening part (210), wherein the air freshener is filled and contained in the absorptive sponge member (100). By using the absorptive sponge member, the air freshener of the present invention is cost effective and easy to manufacture, in comparison with an existing air freshener. Furthermore, the danger of accident due to container breakage is avoided, and the air freshener is easy to produce in the specific size and form. Transportation and shipping of the air freshener are also easy as well. |
