A driving unit (100) for exercise equipment according to the present invention comprises: a frame (110) performing a support function; a wheel (120) mounted on both sides of the frame (110) to be able to rotate; a bar-shaped lower link (160) mounted on an outer surface (123) of the wheel (120) to be slid; a bar-shaped upper link (170) shaft-coupled to the lower link (160); and a rotating shaft (180) mounted on the frame (110) to be able to rotate by being fixated to the upper link (170). Thus, the driving unit (100) can be applied to various types of exercise equipment, wherein the driving unit can perform not only a rotational movement but also a linear reciprocating movement. When the driving unit (100) is applied to bicycle exercise equipment (200), the wheel (120) rotates, so all joints of legs and a waist of a user are exercised. In addition, during a linear reciprocating movement in a state of braking the wheel (120), a load of exercising can be decreased. Therefore, the elderly can exercise with the exercise equipment. Also, the driving unit (100) can be applied to arm exercise equipment, so arms and shoulders can be exercised. |
