摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods for facilitating extraction of infectious pathogens and DNA of the pathogens from a sample, such as a large amount of blood. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided the methods and materials for extracting infectious pathogens from a sample, such as blood, comprising the steps of creating a fibrin aggregate confining the pathogens, and introducing a fibrin lysis reagent to expose the pathogens for analysis. The fibrin lysis reagent is composed of frozen plasminogen and streptokinase whereby streptokinase enzymatically reacts with plasminogen to form plasmin upon thawing in the method. Preferably, the plasminogen is suspended in an aqueous salt solution prior to freezing including NaCl and Na<SB POS="POST">3</SB>PO<SB POS="POST">4</SB>. There is also provided materials and methods for efficiently removing ATA from a sample comprising nucleic acid composition so that an RT-PCR reaction and other reactions involving reverse transcriptase can be performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p>
