Proposed is a data transmission method, comprising: receiving, by a centralized processing node, downlink user data from a first gateway (GW); sending, by the centralized processing node, the downlink user data to a corresponding base station; when congestion of an interface between the centralized processing node and the first GW is determined, sending, by the centralized processing node, a first bearer switching request message to the first GW, the first bearer switching request message being used for instructing the first GW to perform data transmission by bypassing the centralized processing node. In the embodiment of the present invention, when the congestion of the interface between the centralized processing node and the first GW is determined, the centralized processing node sends the first bearer switching request message to the first GW, so that the first GW transmits the downlink user data by bypassing the centralized processing node, thus the data traffic of the interface between the centralized processing node and the first GW can be reduced, and the congestion of the interface can be further alleviated or eliminated. |
