The purpose of the present invention is to miniaturize a device for detecting the line of sight. A device for detecting the line of sight is used in a head-mount display and is provided with an invisible-light irradiation device for irradiating the eyes of a user with invisible light, an invisible-light mirror for reflecting invisible light and transmitting visible light, a filter for transmitting invisible light and not transmitting visible light, and an image-capturing device capable of capturing an image due to invisible light; the invisible-light mirror is placed, between a display and the eyes of the user, at a position between the display and the image-capturing device in such a way that the angle formed by the surface of the invisible-light mirror and the display surface of the display is 0 degrees or more to less than 45 degrees, and the invisible light radiated from the invisible light irradiation device and reflected at the eyes of the user is reflected; the filter is placed at a position that lies between the display and the image-capturing device; and the image-capturing device is placed in a direction in which the photographing range of the image-capturing device includes at least part of the display surface of the display, the image-capturing device capturing the image of the eyes of the user due to the invisible light reflected by the invisible-light mirror. |
