摘要 The present invention relates to a precursor cloth for an activated carbon fiber cloth, wherein precursor filaments for an activated carbon fiber constitute the precursor cloth, and the precursor filaments for an activated carbon fiber are not cut in both side end parts in a width direction but are folded. A cloth is produced using the precursor filaments for an activated carbon fiber from the precursor cloth for an activated carbon fiber cloth by using one selected from a weft-knitting device and a warp-knitting device. According to the present invention, when the precursor cloth for an activated carbon fiber cloth is produced, uniform tensile strength is applied throughout a full width of the precursor cloth for an activated carbon fiber cloth. At the same time, uniform crystalline properties are maintained in a central part and both side end parts of the precursor cloth for an activated carbon fiber cloth. Accordingly, when an activated carbon fiber cloth is produced by sequentially performing chloridation resistance treatment, low temperature carbonization treatment, and high temperature activation on the precursor cloth for an activated carbon fiber cloth, the carbonation and activation are evenly performed throughout a whole width of the precursor cloth for an activated carbon fiber cloth. An activated carbon fiber cloth produced by uniformly carbonizing and activating a central part and width direction both side end parts of the precursor cloth for an activated carbon fiber cloth has uniform physical properties such as strength and specific surface area throughout a whole width thereof.
