The invention relates to a reducing agent preparation system (1) of an exhaust gas cleaning system, comprising a mixing chamber (4) into which the reduction agent can be sprayed by means of a metering device (17) and in which reducing agent that is sprayed in is mixed with exhaust gas fed to the mixing chamber (4), comprising a pipe connector (3) which is fitted to the mixing chamber (4) and via which exhaust gas can be fed to the mixing chamber (4), and comprising a circularly cylindrical mixing pipe (7) leading out of the mixing chamber (4), via which exhaust gas fed to the mixing chamber (4) and mixed with a reducing agent is discharged from the mixing chamber (4). The mixing chamber (4) has an approximately rotationally symmetrical shape having a larger mixing chamber diameter (D) as compared to a largest mixing chamber depth (T) viewed in the direction of the longitudinal mid-axis (2). The pipe connector (3) is fitted at least approximately tangentially to the mixing chamber (4) in such a way that, following entry into the mixing chamber (4), the exhaust gas forms a flow rotating about the axis of rotation in the mixing chamber (4) and enters the mixing pipe (7) whilst maintaining a rotating flow, and leaves the mixing chamber completely through the mixing pipe (7). The metering device (17) is able to spray the reducing agent into the mixing chamber (4) by means of a conical spray jet (18) in such a way that said agent enters an open end (10) of the mixing pipe (7) at least approximately completely and is entrained by the rotating flow of the exhaust gas. |
