<p>The invention relates to a prepay system for supplying water or gas by means of a wireless intelligent card and to a meter for recording the water or gas consumption by the above-mentioned system. The claimed system includes the following: a wireless intelligent card, a water or gas meter (18), a liquid crystal display to show information regarding the state of the meter, a source for supplying the water or gas meter with electricity, a network which includes at least one point of sale terminal (20), a server (21) connected via an interface (27) to a billing system provided with a data base (22) of the water or gas provider, the water or gas meter including: a. a device for electronic wireless measuring, prepaying and cutting off water or gas supply, which, in its turn, includes the following: i. a reader-writer (23) of intelligent cards playing the role of detecting the presence of a prepay wireless intelligent card, interpreting the commands of the prepay wireless intelligent card and generating and transmitting a radio frequency signal, and when the reader-writer (23) of wireless cards includes an encryption/decryption module to verify and validate the authenticity of the card, encrypting the data transferred and verifying the validity of the information recorded in a microcontroller memory, ii. a microcontroller for monitoring the functioning of the meter and iii. a controller for water or gas supply cutting off, b. a device for cutting off the water or gas supply and c. an element for transmitting/receiving a signal.</p> |
