The device (42) is suitable for radially supporting and damping a tool for machining a control valve (2) in a power plant. It has three extendible supports (S1, S2, S3) which are mounted on a sleeve (H) and which each contain a hydraulic cylinder which makes it possible to extend the particular support (S1, S2, S3). The device (42) serves as a force-related support for tools which machine a valve seat face of a valve housing, for example by means of turning or milling. The device (42) does not place any accuracy requirements on the housing. It allows automated insertion in the housing in that each of the supports (S1, S2, S3) travels with reduced force and without control onto a stop in the valve housing. Each of the three supports (S1, S2, S3) bears against the housing as a result. By way of hydraulic stop valves, the end positions of the supports can each be frozen individually and stably with high rigidity. |
