1. A high shear system for processing of naphtha, the system comprising:
at least one high shear device comprising an inlet and at least one rotor-stator combination configured for producing a shear rate of at least 20,000 s−1, wherein the inlet is configured for the introduction of a high shear feed comprising naphtha and a dispersible phase, and wherein the at least one high shear device is configured to produce a dispersion; a pump positioned upstream of the at least one high shear device, the pump configured to introduce the high shear feed into the at least one high shear device; and a cracking reactor configured to crack at least a portion of the components of the dispersion, thus producing a cracked product comprising lighter hydrocarbon compounds, wherein a convection section of the cracking reactor is configured to produce a mixed hydrocarbon stream. |
