The present invention relates to a percutaneous access catheter for inserting a drainage tube, and more specifically, to a percutaneous access catheter (PAC) comprising an internal catheter which is inserted prior to inserting the drainage tube to a biliary tract or a nephostomic tube, and an external catheter for conducting a percutaneous transhepatic biliary drainage or a percutaneous nephrostomy. The outer catheter has a curved portion by bending one end portion of a linear part of the catheter, in order to expedite a flexible flow from the biliary tract to the nephostomic tube, or vice versa, along guide wires inserted to the biliary tract and the nephostomic tube. The curved portion has one or more side pores capable of excreting waste. The percutaneous access catheter of the present invention is capable of reducing inconvenience, time, and costs for using additional catheters in case of bending or stenosis of the biliary tract or the nephostomic tube during the percutaneous transhepatic biliary drainage or percuataneous nephrostomy; and at the same time also smoothly excreting bodily waste such as contaminated bile liquid. |
