<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner storage body able to prevent toner from being pressed by a shutter and leaking out when the shutter is moved from its open position to closed position.SOLUTION: A toner cartridge 11 has a housing 51 storing toner in it. A communication port 53 for the communication between the inside and outside of it is formed in the housing 51. The shutter 58 is provided movable between the open position where the communication port 53 is opened and the closed position where the communication port 53 is closed. With the shutter 58 located in the closed position, a toner seal 55 is interposed between the housing 51 and the shutter 58. In the toner seal 55, a toner capturing opening 57 for capturing toner leaking out of a sealing opening 56 is formed behind the sealing opening 56 communicating with the communication port 53, which is downstream of the sealing opening 56 in the closed direction from the open position to the closed position.</p> |
