<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outer rotor rotary electric machine (generator or motor) that increases in performance of cooling of stators and a rotor. <P>SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine includes: stators 32 and 33 that are aligned in an axial direction with a space 53 between respective stator winding ends 49a and 52b thereof; a rotor 31 that is arranged so as to surround perimeters of the stators 32 and 33 with air gaps 50A and 50B provided between the rotor 31 and the stators 32 and 33; an air cooling device that has a rotary fan 58 provided in the rotary electric machine and that cools the stators and the rotor by cooling air 60 which is blown by the rotary fan 58 and circulated so as to flow through the space 53 and the air gaps 50A and 50B and return to the rotary fan 58; and a liquid cooling device that has a heat exchanger 59 provided in the rotary electric machine and that cools the cooling air 60 by heat exchange between the cooling air 60 and a cooling liquid 61 in the heat exchanger 59. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
