PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of promoting and inhibiting proliferation of a hematopoietic stem cell in a subject which includes a step of administering a hematopoietic stem cell control substance and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.SOLUTION: There is provided a method of promoting and inhibiting proliferation of a hematopoietic stem cell in which a substance promoting proliferation of a hematopoietic stem cell is selected from the group consisting of prostaglandin (PG)E2, PGI2, linoleic acid, mead acid, eicosatrienoic acid, epoxyeicosatrienoic acid, forskolin, fendiline, nicardipine, nifedipine, pimozide, strophanthidin, lanatoside, L-arginine, sodium nitroprusside, sodium vanadate, bradykinin, atenolol, pindolol, hydralazine or the like, and a substance inhibiting proliferation of a hematopoietic stem cell is selected from the group consisting of indomethacin, fenbufen, sulindac, suxibuzone, aspirin, naproxen, ibuprofen, celecoxib, PGJ2, aristolochic acid or the like. |
