PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display apparatus that improves visibility of a virtual image by a simple configuration.SOLUTION: An image display apparatus 1000 is an image display apparatus to be installed on a mobile object, and includes: an image forming unit configured to form an intermediate image (image) by light and exits the light that forms the image, which comprises a light source unit 100, two-dimensional deflecting means 6, a concave mirror 7, and a scanning target surface element 8; and a projection optical system comprising a concave mirror 9, configured to guide the light from the image forming unit to a front windshield 10 of the mobile object. The intermediate image is oblique with respect to a lateral direction (X-axis direction) of the mobile object, in a view from a front-rear direction (z-axis direction) of the mobile object. |
