The invention specifically relates to muscarinic antagonists (including long acting muscarinic antagonists (LAMAs)) for the treatment of airway disease, such as pulmonary disease, preferably recurrent airway obstruction (RAO), summer pasture associated obstructive pulmonary disease (SPAOPD), and inflammatory airway disease (IAD) in animals, preferably equines such as horses.
