PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saddle riding type vehicle capable of preventing scatters kicked up by a rear wheel from contacting with an occupant and reducing the weight of a vehicle rear part, while securing the visibility of an outgoing beam of a tail lamp unit.SOLUTION: A mud guard and a tail lamp unit 33 are provided above a rear wheel. A tail cover unit 30 includes a tail cover 31 and a pair of right and left extension parts 32. The pair of extension parts 32 are provided at the right and the underside of the tail cover 31, respectively. Between a pair of side faces 312 of the tail cover 31 and the inner surfaces of the pair of extension parts 32, through holes penetrating in the longitudinal direction are formed. The dimension in the vehicle width direction of the mud guard is smaller than the dimension in the vehicle width direction from the outer end of one of the extension parts 32 to the outer end of the other extension part 32 and is larger than the dimension in the vehicle width direction of the tail cover 31. |
