PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sand core for manufacturing a cylinder block which can improve the mass productivity of the cylinder block arranged at a bright part.SOLUTION: A sand core 20 for manufacturing a cylinder block is fit into a notch 31 formed at a die part 30 of a cylinder block forming metal mold in order to manufacture the cylinder block at which a water jacket surrounding a plurality of cylinder liners which are aligned in parallel are formed, and a plurality of bridge parts covering a part of an upper end opening of the water jacket are arranged at a top deck. The cylinder block manufacturing sand core 20 comprises an inner layer and an outer layer, and a salient part 24 for making the sand core abut on a wall face 30A of the water jacket forming die part 30 is formed at a top deck side end face 20. The inner layer of the cylinder block manufacturing sand core 20 is exposed to the outside at a tip face of the salient part 24. |
