<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire for a truck and a bus that achieves weight reduction while avoiding deterioration in tire durability resulting from metal wire breakage. <P>SOLUTION: The pneumatic radial tire for the truck and the bus includes a belt comprising at least three belt layers. Metal wires in an innermost belt layer having a flat shape elongated in a belt width direction are arranged in parallel and flatly at intervals in the belt width direction without being twisted. The width W and the thickness T of the flat-shaped metal wires satisfy a relationship represented by a formula: 2.0≤W/T≤6.0. Width direction flexural stiffness WS and thickness direction flexural stiffness TS satisfy a relationship represented by a formula: 5.0≤WS/TS≤35.0. The number of pieces P of the flat-shaped metal wires implanted in the innermost belt layer (pieces/50 mm) satisfies a relationship represented by a formula: -24.9×Ln(W/T)+53.7≤P≤-34.4×Ln(W/T)+83.3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
