This fender (10), which is mounted on a quay wall (11), is provided with a buffering portion (12) for softening the impact when docking a boat, and quay wall mounting portions (14a, 14b) for mounting the buffering portion (12) to the quay wall (11). In addition, each quay wall mounting portion (14a, 14b) includes a mounting member (18a, 18b) having a higher corrosion resistance than iron material. Furthermore, each quay wall mounting portion (14a, 14b) is provided with through-holes (16a-16d) for bolts to pass through in order to mount the fender (10) to the quay wall (11). With this configuration, the occurrence of rust is mitigated, even if the surface of the mounting members (18a, 18b) and the through-holes (16a-16d) penetrating through the mounting members (18a, 18b) are exposed to the outside, because the mounting members (18a, 18b) have a higher corrosion resistance than iron material. |
