DATA TRANSMISSION METHOD AND APPARATUS

Provided are a method and a device for transmitting data, capable of enhancing transmission efficiency and communicating safely without increasing a bandwidth of password data under the condition that encrypted data has a variable transmission success rate depending on network quality. The provided method comprises the following steps: measuring the network quality of a channel, and selecting lossy compression or lossless compression depending on a result of the measurement; compressing original data to be transmitted in the selected compression method; encrypting the compressed data; performing an error correcting encoding on the encrypted data; and interleaving the error correcting encoded data.
