Provided is a lithium ion battery, wherein an internal short-circuit failure is eliminated without affecting battery performance, and reliability is improved. The present invention provides a lithium ion battery that is provided with: a positive electrode and a negative electrode, each of which contains an electrode active material; a separator that insulates the positive electrode and the negative electrode from each other, and an electrolytic solution in which lithium ions move; and an internal short-circuit inhibitor, which is contained in the positive electrode and/or the negative electrode, and which contains an inorganic material. |
