<p>A fluid sampling probe 10 comprises an elongate tube 12 for fluid transfer, and a monitoring device 14 which is directly or indirectly supportable by the tube 12. Preferably, the elongate tube 12 includes a dedicated fluid conduit 30 for fluid transfer which extends longitudinally within the elongate tube 12. Preferably, the elongate tube 12 further includes a dedicated monitoring conduit 60 in which the monitoring device 14 is received, whereby the fluid conduit 30 is fluidly isolated from the monitoring conduit 60. Preferably, a support element 34 is provided which is mountable within the bore of the elongate tube 12 and includes two openings, a first opening 52 forming part of the dedicated fluid conduit 30 and a second opening 62 to receive at least part of the monitoring device 14. Preferably, at least one helical fin 16 extends from an exterior surface of the elongate tube 12 to prevent or reduce vortex shedding. The monitoring element 66 of the monitoring device 14 may be extendable and retractable relative to the elongate tube 12.</p> |
