A refuse bin, preferably of plastics material, is provided with an aperture in the lid 2 closed by a hinged flap 4, to which is attached a waste tray 6, e.g. at the hinges or with the aid of spacers, such that the flap is maintained at a constant angle, about 60 degrees, to the tray, and such that the tray 6 closes the opening when the lid is raised, there being disposed in the bin an air permeable container 10 in which is placed a deodorizing substance, such as charcoal. |
