Provided is a method for welding the positive electrode tabs (2) and negative electrode tabs (3) of a battery pack (5A) comprising a layered plurality of single cells (1), each being provided with a positive electrode tab (2) and a negative electrode tab (3) that are formed from different types of metal from each other and are drawn outward. In this welding method, a cladding material (6) is disposed between a second single cell (1B) positive electrode tab (2) and a first single cell (1A) negative electrode tab (3). Next, with a laser welder, a focal point (F2) is aimed at a boundary surface (8) between the negative electrode tab (3) and the cladding material (6), and a laser (L2) is irradiated from the negative electrode tab (3) side. Then, a focal point (F1) is aimed at a boundary surface (7) between the positive electrode tab (2) and the cladding material (6), and a laser (L1) is irradiated from the positive electrode tab (2) side. |
