The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising SQ22536 for inhibiting hyperproliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells. The composition can be used for preventing or treating hyperproliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells or movement disorder by inhibiting hyperproliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells and inhibiting formation of endothelium when blood vessels are damaged.
