The present invention relates to a highly absorbent resin which generally represents balanced and excellent material properties by optimizing retention capacity, absorption under pressure, liquid permeability, and gel strength. The highly absorbent resin comprises a cross-linked polymer obtained by surface cross-linking a powder-type base resin prepared by polymerizing a water-soluble ethylene-based unsaturated monomer having an acidic group of which at least a portion is neutralized. The centrifuge retention capacity (CRC), absorption under pressure (AUP), gel strength (G′), and saline flow conductivity (SFC), etc, can satisfy a predetermined relational expression. |
