PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the initial charging of a smoothing capacitor of an inverter device by a simple configuration.SOLUTION: An inverter system 10 comprises an inverter device 12 and a smoothing capacitor charger 34. The inverter device 12 has a transformer 14 and a plurality of inverter cells 16U, 16V and 16W. The transformer 14 has a plurality of primary coils 20R, 20S, and 20T, and a plurality of secondary coils 22R, 22S, and 22T. Each of the inverter cells 16U, 16V, and 16W has a converter circuit 24, a smoothing capacitor 26, and an inverter circuit 28. The smoothing capacitor charger 34 is electrically connected to the primary coils 20R, 20S, and 20T such that initial charging power is supplied to the smoothing capacitor 26 via the primary coils 20R, 20S, and 20T and secondary coils 22R, 22S, and 22T. |
