PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller capable of reducing temperature ripples by changing voltage to be supplied to a heater for fixation depending on heater temperature, and preventing a current equal to or over a predetermined value from flowing through a circuit or the heater.SOLUTION: The controller includes: an ACDC converter 1 for converting a commercial power supply 7 into DC and supplying the DC; calculation means 6 for detecting temperature of a fixation heater 3 and calculating a target DC voltage value to be applied; a DCDC converter 2 for a heater, for supplying the DC from the ACDC converter 1 to the fixation heater 3; overcurrent detection means 18 for detecting overcurrent and inputting an interruption signal into an interruption terminal; and control means 10 for calculating switching time so that output of the DCDC converter 2 for a heater is the target DC voltage, and driving a switching element 14, stopping the switching of the switching element 14 at the overcurrent detection interruption, resuming the switching at the next switching period, and performing no calculation at the switching time following the overcurrent detection interruption, without change since the previous switching time. |
