PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently cool a sheet with a fixed image passing on a sheet conveyance guide after fixation and cool a driving source for driving a separation pawl embedded in a fixing apparatus, without any influence of the cooling air on a sheet with an unfixed toner image held thereon.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes a fixing unit 40 having an electrical component (a solenoid 48, for example), and a sheet conveyance guide 55. The sheet conveyance guide 55 includes a plurality of guide ribs 57 arranged on a sheet support surface 55a and a plurality of vent holes 56. The electrical component 48 is arranged on a surface opposite to the sheet support surface 55a of the sheet conveyance guide 55. Ventilation paths 61, 65 are provided for supplying cooling air to a sheet P with a fixed image passing on the sheet conveyance guide 55 and the electrical component 48. The ventilation paths 61, 65 are arranged on a surface opposite to the sheet support surface 55a of the sheet conveyance guide 55. The cooling air is supplied to the ventilation paths 61, 65. |
