PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic key for a vehicle having a decorative member assembled on a housing, the decorative member and the housing being assembled with a simple structure and without complicating the forms of molds thereof.SOLUTION: A rectangular parallelepiped housing 10 of an electronic key for a vehicle has an upper case member 2 that forms an upper surface 2x side, a lower case member 3 that forms a lower surface 3y side, and a decorative member 4 assembled on the housing 10, each of which is molded as an integral part. A sheath part 39 is formed only on the lower case member 3, the sheath part housing a mechanical key 51 inserted into a key hole of the vehicle, in such a way to cover around an axis line 50X of the mechanical key. A through hole 39h that opens to outside is formed through the sheath part 39, on a tip side in the axis line direction of the mechanical key 51 that is housed. The through hole 39h opens on a side with a prescribed surface 10a (3a) of the housing 10, and serves as an engaged part 31 engaged with an engaging part 41 of the decorative member 4. |
