PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive assist system capable of appropriately changing the detection range of a peripheral detection sensor so as to contain a future moving point of an assist target mobile body without unnecessarily detecting mobile bodies other than the assist target.SOLUTION: A drive assist system of the present invention acquires mobile body information including a position and a velocity vector of a mobile body from a peripheral detection sensor that can detect peripheries in a set detection range so as to contain a predetermined area laterally forward of an own vehicle, determines an assist target approaching the own vehicle from a lateral direction to a direction of travel of the own vehicle, predicts a future moving point to which the assist target mobile body moves from a current position after passage of predetermined time, changes the detection range to add a change area to contain the moving point along the velocity vector if the moving point is out of the detection range of the peripheral detection sensor, and implements drive assist to an assist target including the mobile body determined as the assist target within the changed detection range. |
