The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for setting a rated current of an in-cable control box for an electric vehicle. An apparatus for setting the rated current of an in-cable control box for an electric vehicle includes an input part which enters a current setting mode and selects a rated current; a communication part which transmits and receives the on-board charger of the electric vehicle and a setting state; a display part for displaying the setting state; and a control part which enters the current setting mode according to the selection of the input part to set a selected rated current, outputs the selected rated current to the on-board charger of the electric vehicle through the communication part, and displays the rated current on the display part. |
