ACOUSTICAL FINISHING BOARD AND METHOD FOR ITS MANUFACTURING

The offered acoustic finishing board can be used for interior decoration purposes, mainly with the aim of improving of acoustic characteristics of suspended ceiling. The board is made of a solid substrate (1) on which a porous finishing material (2) with the volume density 200 to 400 kg/m3 is applied. In order to increase the fire resistance capacity of the finishing board (Fig.1), as the solid substrate (1) a gypsum plasterboard is used, but the porous finishing layer (2) is made of foamed gypsum composition. To make it easy to install the finishing board in the frame of suspended ceiling, the width and length of the solid base is greater than the width and length of porous finishing layer (2) by the width of removable limiting frame (3). The volume density and the thickness of the porous finishing layer in the range of 10 to 100 mm shall be scaled depending by the sound to be absorbed in the frequency range of 200 to 4000 Hz. The finishing boards are of good sound absorption and thermal insulation capacity. They are practically uncombustible with reaction to fire class A2-s1,d0 and its sound absorption capacity meet the class C.
