This control device, on the assumption that an operation condition of a plant is a specific operation condition (idle state) which was defined beforehand, searches, using a prediction model, for a virtual current-value of a control amount (DPF temperature) used for preventing a specific state amount (DPF temperature) from conflicting with a constraint (upper-limit temperature) in the future, sets the virtual current-value which was found by the search to a target value of the control amount (DPF temperature), and determines an operation amount for the plant so that the actual current-value of the control amount (DPF temperature) approaches the target value. Due to this configuration, even if the operation condition of the plant suddenly changes to the specific operation condition (idle state), the control amount (DPF temperature) of the plant can be adjusted in advance so that the specific state amount (DPF temperature) in the specific operation condition (idle state) does not conflict with the constraint (upper-limit temperature). |
