Title cpds. have the formula: (where R1 is 1-4C alkyl, cyclopropyl or methylcyclopropyl; R2 is 1-4C alky6; X is OMe, SMe, N3 or Cl). They are useful for selectively controlling unwanted grasses and dicotyledonous weeds, although at high levels they are total herbicides. More easily degradable and less phytotoxic than known related cpds. Prepn. is froman amino-triazine, via a hydroxymethylamino cpd. prepd. by the action of CH2O in the presence of Na2CO3. |
